Out of Balanz/Troels H. Findsen
Out of Balanz is an award-winning, international touring performing arts company based in Copenhagen. We make interdisciplinary performances that respond to contemporary existence and bring new forms, faces, ideas and voices to our audiences around the world. We’ve created over a dozen original works and have toured to 18 different countries worldwide. Our performances transcend borders and create thought provoking and enjoyable experiences for our audiences.
Our approach is rooted in collective creation and ensemble practice and we’re known for producing original work and adaptations that are adventurous in form and rich in spectacle and physicality. With an emphasis on rigorous experimentation, playful exploration and intercultural exchange, we seek to reinvent how stories are told and to inspire new ways of thinking, doing and being together.
Out of Balanz works purposefully for a higher and more qualitative level of activity and a better balance between work and private life. Relevance, high artistic quality, inclusion and visibility are key values, with a particular emphasis on collaboration, equality and sustainability. We collaborate with artists of diverse backgrounds, cultures and disciplines — most recently working with highly skilled circus artists and musicians.

Going Nowhere, a non-verbal tragicomic circus solo show about our relationships to cell phones and screen addiction (age 10+)
Developing/touring: Turbulence, an interdisciplinary circus and music performance about climate migration (age 15+)
