Wired Studio is an internationally touring dance company led by Artistic Director and Choreographer Simone Wierød. Wired Studio is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Wired Studio has a cross-disciplinary, collaborative, and international approach to our work. Specializing in the creation of dance performances, choreographic installations, and dance films, Wired Studio is renowned for our visually compelling works. The signature style of Wired Studio contains a meticulous blend of sharp, poetic nuances, an architectural appreciation for lines and geometry, and a strikingly minimalist yet voluminous aesthetic.
Current touring repertoire
Axial Figures – a performance that takes dance to new heights. In Axial Figures, five strong female rope artists move in all directions and altitudes in a motorized scenography of aerial ropes. Axial Figures is a choreographic work containing elements of architecture and contemporary circus.
BOXED – an outdoor, participatory choreographic work for public space. The audience receives choreographic instructions through headphones and collaborates on building sculptures with their bodies and 30 wooden boxes.
Collective Behaviour – a dynamic and visually strong dance performance with a motorized scenography of mirrors that distorts the space and creates endless bodies on stage.Collective Behaviour is created in collaboration with the South Korean media arts duo Kimchi and Chips.
