Antoinette Helbing
Antoinette Helbing is a German dance artist and member of the artist-run platform Dance CooperativE. Her choreographic work is driven by her wish to counter our endlessly self-centred way of life with art that evokes the viewer’s sense of belonging and of community. She creates multi-sensory experiences within and across bodies - working towards connection - between humans as well as the more than human. By confronting the audience with the sensual force of the moment, she gives the spectators a strong bodily experience of themselves. With this sensual translation she invites the viewer to fantasise, to sense and to think from another body’s perspective.

THE LAUGHING CROWD – a choreographic tribute to laughter for 8 performers celebrating laughter as a force of nature and the most explosive way of interhuman connection.
THE MIRROR PROJECT - a game of intersubjectivity between two mirrors, two performers and the audience addressing the relation between the real body and images of the body.
