HILDE INGEBORG SANDVOLD

HILDE INGEBORG SANDVOLD is an award-winning dancer and choreographer. Her work aims to understand the body, the act of being a body, through and in different contexts. She has made a couple of company works, and series of solo-works, among them “Dans, for Satan” chosen for Aerowaves and Ice-hot (2018), the full evening solo “GRÅTT”, and most recently; “Petroleum” created in collaboration with Sydhavn Teater.

HILDES PIECES are physical and raw, created with a sense of DIY. Her performance-style is unhinged, ensuring unfiltered meetings with audiences.

UPCOMING is the research for and creation of “All that we are” - a piece of two parts; a solo in the format of a fragmented stand-up-comedy, followed by a dance for ten. The piece reflects on how we can communicate and meet each other in a time of polarization, where fact and fiction blend together, and separates us.

IN ADDITION to the performances, Hilde likes to meet audiences, colleagues and professionals from other fields through workshops and talks. She is passionate about finding and defining tools for performance and creation, and aims to create more sustainable opportunities within the dance field and to expand how, with whom and for whom choreographic work is created.

HILDE IS LOOKING FOR new collaborators, residency opportunities, co-producing and presenting partners!
