Sophia Mage
Sophia Mage is a choreographer and dancer based in Copenhagen.
Sophia approaches performance with a mindset of world-building. She often works with a fictional sense of being and place in order to gently tilt the atmosphere towards the uncanny. Her process is driven by the meeting of intuition, intentionality, and coincidences from the mediums she works with. All this with an eye for an immediate and broad appeal so that the finished work appears inviting with rich underlying intention.

An ode to Mother Chaos in the time of the great collapse. Edging between subtle dominance and naked vulnerability 3 performers shapeshift through a choreography of intimacy, transformation, and repulsion. The work is informed by the mythology surrounding goddesses Innana and Ereshkigal 4000 years ago in ancient Sumer.

A pulsing and rhythmic duet for two burning souls strolling in the heart of a wasteland. Grinding, waving, weaving through a landscape of daunting clouds, and sleeping @dragons a soundscape of a lonely desert accompanies them from bar to thorny embrace. Drunk on their dreams and the haunting voice of Scott Walker they saunter gracefully into the sunrise.
